The "Towards Hydrocitizenship" project is, essentially, a series of interlinked water-arts-community projects across a range of sites in the uk.   In it we are seeking to imaginatively explore and work with  people’s awareness of, and connection with water in their local environment and beyond. At the same time we are exploring the nature of community through the lens of water – connections (extant, latent, harmonious, conflictual) within communities (e.g. shared neighbourhoods) and between communities (e.g. upstream/downstream interactions), and also between humans and non-humans.

The term “water” is deliberately unqualified in order to push for a more holistic view which will include many issues -  flooding, drought, access to water, pollution, biodiversity,  supply, waste water management, ground water.  ‘Deeper’  ambitions are about rethinking citizens and communities into more ecological modes.

In this section we hope to generate a list of other projects which we feel  creatively work with water and communities with similar, related,  sensibilities.

Additions are very welcome.  Clearly there are potentially many projects out there, so pelase treat this list as partial - but growing.

If you make an entry please try to gernate a clear heading, e.g.  title; date; country; organisation/artist.
