Some of my photos of the storm clear up in Aberystwyth appeared in the Cambrian News January 16th, 2014, as well as many other online platforms for various broadcasters. Can't keep track! I received some 'reader requests' for photos, and sent these on.

This is a deliberate effort to create a log so that I'm not scrambling around in old emails in three years time, when trying to work out what coverage hydrocitizenship got! The links below relate directly to the Hydrocitizenship project. (There may be other more indirect associations)

(1)There was a Radio Cymru Interview on January 15th, 2014 (SPJ)
(2) Good Evening Wales radio interview on January Wales interview on January 15th, 2014 (SPJ)
(4) In-depth discussion in Welsh 20/12/13 (includes Hydrocitizenship board member Hywel Griffiths, and SPJ): can be listened to by following this link: Botwm y Byd

Thanks Tom- I wonder if/when (!) you get a spare minute you could make a point of archiving some of this coverage- weblinks don't remain active indefinitely. So screenshots, printouts etc? Or just a cut and paste into word documents? THANKS!! Sara

(Not delighted about the constant linking to floods as only 'water interest' in the area.Same thing happened with the feature after our launch. I think that this needs addressing with the Cambrian News).

Village recreated in sand to explore sea level issues

05 October 2015

BORTH has been recreated in sand as part of a project to explore villagers’s opinions about rising sea levels.

The Cymerau project incorporates a range of artists woring with the local communities in Borth and Talybont about water and the effects water can have on the local community following devastating flooding in 2012.

The latest work saw Esther Tew working with a collective of artists in Borth to recreate the village in sand in order to get people thinking about sea defences and the impact that rising sea levels could have on Borth.

Anne Ferris, one of the artists who took part in the project, said: “We wanted a good activity to get people to think about how we live in Borth and how we live our lives with water.

“We decided to recreate Borth in sand. If there are too many facts and figures, people glaze over.

“This was a fun way for people to get involved, and it sparked some good conversation about the sea defences and what will happen to the village.”
