In Search of Water

" The story of water is thew story of Man - his intervention, curiosity, ingenuity, stupidity and greed. Without his intervention water would flow as it always has, ever since it was created. Its natural state is in the sea, where it makes up  some three fifths of the surface area of the planet. On land it seems engaged in a permanent effort to get back to the oceans, either by running in rivers or sweating through animals and plants, turning into clouds and raining down on waves. Leonardo de Vinci described water as the driving force of nature.  Water cleanses,it purifies, it dilutes."
